For more than 30 years, Ram Dass has been contibuting to our spiritual, psychological, and social movements. His service work has included counseling the dying and those bereaved, conflict resolution, transpersonal psychology, and the art of conscious aging.
In February of 1997 Ram Dass suffered a major stroke, which has left him with significant motor and speech disabilities. He is gradually recovering, but will require considerable treatment and support for some time. Over the years, Ram Dass has given away much of his money and consequently needs financial support for medical treatment and living expenses. At the Omega retreat (September 1999) it was announced that the Greyston Foundation has named Ram Dass "Spiritual Teacher Emeritus," and has established a teacher's fund for his support. To contribute to that fund, you can send donations to: Your gifts are tax deductible. The Ram Dass Teacher's Fund Non-tax-deductible gifts can still be made directly to Ram Dass at: Ram Dass |
